East Valley School District is located in Yakima County, Washington, just east of the City of Yakima. It encompasses the City of Moxee and portions of the unincorporated county, including the Terrace Heights community. The resident population of the East Valley School District is over 17,000. Our community has continued to experience significant growth in residential, educational (Pacific Northwest University), business, and industry over the past 10 years.

East Valley is primarily rural, situated in a valley surrounded by agriculture. Known as the hop production capital of the state and home to bountiful crops and vineyards, agri-tourism thrives. With abundant outdoor activities (hiking, biking, camping, skiing, and more) less than an hour away and four full seasons, East Valley’s central location makes it an ideal place to call home.

Our pillars of success are ...

1) Attendance ... Students can only learn what they are at school to experience.

2) Communication ... Students and families need to feel informed and that 2-way communication pathways are open and accepted.

3) Relationships ... We want students and families to feel a sense of belonging.

4) Student Discourse ... Students are expected to build knowledge together through the sharing of ideas, building on peer ideas, agreeing or disagreeing with peers, or questioning shared solutions.

5) Engaging and rigorous learning activities ... We want all students actively engaged in their learning and pushed to reach their fullest potential.

6) Differentiation ... We work to meet the needs of all students, where they are at, so that everyone has the opportunity to experience success.
