Principal's Message

Fall has come quickly, with morning temperatures in the 30s. Please send your child ready to go outside and enjoy our brisk weather. Check out lost and found for all those coats that get thrown off in the beautiful sunshine of our last recess!
We are excited to again have our conferences in October. This gives parents and teachers a chance to discuss student progress before report cards come out in  November. Early conversations will help build our relationships and create needed learning plans.
Please take our Satisfaction Surveys. There will be computers available for parents to help their children take the student survey during conference week. There is also a parent satisfaction survey on our website. Let us know how we are doing. We are here for your children and want to do our very best.

Lettuce Recall

Food Safety Alert

CDC, public health and regulatory officials in several states, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are investigating a multistate outbreak of E.coli infections linked to romaine lettuce harvested from the Salinas, California growing region. CDC is advising that consumers not eat any romaine lettuce harvested from the Salinas, CA growing region. While we do not serve romaine lettuce in East Valley, we do serve other varieties of lettuce grown in this region. As a precautionary measure, we have disposed of all lettuce and will not be serving any until after Thanksgiving break. When we return next week we will resume serving our students lettuce grown from another region not linked to this outbreak.
Review alternate snow stops with school bus and snow in the background.

Learn about how we will communicate about weather-related delays/closures, review alternate bus stops and find ways to prepare for winter weather.
